Unless you live under a rock, you know that four days ago Haiti was hit with a 7.0 earthquake. The devastation is widespread and the Haitians are suffering beyond belief. I was listening to NPR today and someone described the tragedy as an issue of poverty not simply a Natural Disaster. When a 7.0 earthquake hit California, 68 people died. They’re saying there are tens of thousands of lives lost in Haiti.
Like many of you I’ve been sifting through the many options of ways to give. As a tech junkie I’m loving the fast and easy texting options organizations have put in place. I’ve given to a few different organizations that way, but I found that the crafters at Etsy.com have come together and created a great way to donate as well. The Craft Hope site is an Etsy shop made up of donated items from the wonderful Etsy sellers. All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders.
If you’re a crafter and would like to donate something, go to www.crafthope.com. If you would like to buy, simply follow the link to the Craft Hope shop. I just bought the peanut butter doggie treats for my Lela. Maybe you’ll find something too!
